Job Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Information & Records Management Team at Tate as Assistant Records Manager, working closely with Tate’s historical and current records.

Are you looking for a new and varied role working in information and records management and have a passion for providing access to our rich collection of records about the history of Tate and other collections?

We seek someone with proven experience of records management, knowledge of the Public Records Act and Freedom of Information Act, and their application within an institutional setting.

In this role you will join our knowledgeable and friendly Team which is currently working on the implementation of an Electronic Document & Records Management System across Tate, as well as reviewing and preparing Tate’s historical paper and electronic records for release. The role reports to the Records Manager and manages two people.

You will also provide support in the ongoing management of Tate’s paper and electronic records, working alongside colleagues on the new SharePoint Electronic Document & Records Management System.

You will also be an effective communicator, used to working with people across a large organisation, as well as having proven experience of good team management.

You will have an academic qualification in Records Management, and/or a professional qualification and/or equivalent relevant professional experience.

The role is based at Tate Britain and works across Tate’s four sites. There is an expectation that you will work three days per week from the office and two days from home given the nature of the role.
